LA Street Trials

Some excellent street trial clips from Dominik Raab.  With a little bit of Neil Young as the cherry on the sundae.

24 Hour Time Trial

This video is killer.  Ever thought riding your bike at a time trial pace, for 24 hours?  Neither have I.  And you thought you had the bike affliction bad?  These guys can't get enough!  They accomplished over 400 miles in that time.  That's a lot in my opinion.  From Rapha.

Vintage Lady's Bike Trial by Fire

If you haven't already seen this video, it is awesome.  It's gone viral evidently.  It's gotten 36,000 views in about a day.  It just goes to show you, it's not your bike that's holding you back, it's you.  This thing is so tough too!

A HIll in Spain

That last Chris Akrigg video made me think of this one.  I think it's really well done, and easy to watch.  Looks like a lot of fun riding.  The town looks really pretty too.  For some reason, my favorite part is when he shoots through the stream.  Pretty sweet.

Chris Akrigg - The Turning Point

You can't keep a good man down.  Chris is back in the saddle, after falling off a cliff and shattering his leg, among other injuries.  This is a great video. It illustrates that if bicycling is truly your passion, it's hard to see your life without it, regardless of setbacks.

Danny Macaskill - San Francisco

After being in San Francisco, it's cool to watch Danny shred it up.  He's a simple guy, he just loves riding.  Traveling around meeting cool people, and riding your bike? Sounds like the life.

Danny MacAskill 2012

Danny Macaskill was seriously injured this past year.  He took a spill off a cliff and had to be airlifted to the hospital.  Needless to say, he was off the bike a little.  But he's back now, and I'm glad to hear it.  This is the subtitle to the Youtube video:

Profile of street trials rider Danny Macaskill. Using his new Lezyne Engineering tools, Danny Macaskill re-visits his old job, in the workshop of MacDonalds Cycles in Edinburgh Scotland and chats over his rise…

Chris Hoy and Danny Macaskill

This is the mentality I had in mind when I founded The Pedal Collective.

Olympic gold medalist Chris Hoy and professional trials cyclist Danny Macaskill had a little meet up at the velodrome.  Danny had to give it a shot, and it turns out he's quite good at it.  No surprise…

Masters wanted to race in Chiang Mai, Thailand

Riding & Racing in Thailand

An invitation to the Masters Tour of Chiang Mai 2013

Chiang Mai. Thailand. Now that sounds like a far away, unreachable and exotic place. Exotic it certainly can be but it’s not too far away for the cyclists who come here from all over the world. I’m saying this by way of introduction to the Masters Tour of Chiang Mai which is held during the third week of October each year.

‘Masters’ includes Juniors,…

I'm writing my stories of attempting physical activity. 4/10/13 DAY 1: FAILURE

I just really need to rant about how much the world doesn't want me to succeed at this, how little I know about bikes, and how it affects my measly amount of motivation for physical activity, mostly because I think it's funny. It isn't Louis C.K. funny, but laughing at misfortune and inadequacy is still the overall point. Attempt 1 at physical activity after about 9 months of none at all went like this:

1:15pm AMPED for a warm day, I pull out my bike.

1:30-2:00 I whine for a…
