Killer Tour
This is a fairly old clip, but definitely awesome. Sometimes, you just have to do something ill-advised. It may turn out for the better. This clip speaks to that. A fixed gear bike going across 750 miles of California, I can only imagine what that feels like. Just ride!

My Caravan
Some people like giant RVs, but I find this is the better way to go. This is the vehicle which will propel me about 900 miles throughout California in about a month and a half, various parties included. In about a month I'll have to live entirely off this thing, as my only form of personal transportation. And it makes one hell of a beer transport device. Butterflies people, butterflies.…

Stroll through the Park
This clip was an equipment check Macaframa did a while back. I watched it for the first time in a while today, and I'm reminded of how much I miss warm weather. Bobby Womack's cover of California Dreaming isn't too bad, is it?

Wolfpack Hustle, Los Angeles 2012
What a success! You don't have to watch the whole video, but the sheer number of cyclists participating in this event/race is awesome. You can just sit and watch over a dozen light changes without a stop in the steady stream of people. Truly amazing.

Bikebot Fash Bash
This makes me hate to not be in Texas. It's a fundraiser for the 1Love Tour, and if you're in Austin, you need to go. So go...otherwise watch the video and know how awesome it is without actually being there. Live vicariously, like me.

Fiend BMX
I feel as though I've neglected those BMXers out there, so here's a clip for you. I'm pretty sure these guys shred pretty hard. Perhaps Shredfest is the proper term. You be the judge. I also dig the music they put to it "Ultimate Spinach - Visions of Your Reality." So good. The team is Fiend BMX. Enjoy!…

It's All About Community
The way I see it, if you're on two wheels most of the time, you're part of a culture. There are many facets to biking, and sometimes people get myopic in their scope. To me, riding a bike is a common interest and something which brings people together far more than most things in life. Not to get all deep and dramatic about it, but if you think about it, you know there's truth to that statement. There's a sense that when you're on a bike, life is a lot simpler, and people are more…

Mash SF 2012
I love all the MASH videos. They have the killer combination of speed and horsing around. It's what we all want to do on our bikes. They balance it well, whether it's making time in a pace line or skidding around and taking goofy detours. MASH is known for their DVD where all the bikes don't have brakes, cycling clothes or helmets. If you'll notice in this video, they all have cycling clothes. And although in this video everyone is brakeless, you can see that some of these guys have…

Rapha Shop-San Francisco
I wandered down to the Rapha coffee shop today. There was great coffee and snacks, books, cycling apparel (who would have thought it?), and some nice photography/art. I went up into the gallery, and who do I see there? My old buddy Joe Dombroski all over the wall. People are watching you now Joe, you are definitely on the radar. Keep up that good work!…

Rapha: Santa Rosa
I didn't get a chance to ride Santa Rosa during my tour. It looks like I would have loved it.
Who doesn't love that weightless feeling you get coming out of a switchback? It definitely makes things interesting. And the cattle grates.
I can identify with Andy on two things: I am just riding my bike to explore,…

Getting Back Down the Road
Continue"I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived."

San Jose Cyclocross Arena
Sixty acres of land has been given the "go ahead" by city staff.
This was possible with the San Jose Parks Foundation, Guadalupe River Park Conservancy, the San Jose Police Department, and San Jose city councilman Sam Liccardo, who represents the downtown district.
Since it's a "cyclocross arena" that means it's devoted, as in YEAR ROUND.
Just saying. Proposed layout:…

Adam's Second Aids Life Cycle
Only 72 days till I ride out on day one of ALC 11!!
The first week of June, I will participate in a life-changing, weeklong celebration of life as I ride my bike down the California coast from San Francisco to Los Angeles in this year's AIDS/LifeCycle. The goal: to raise money and awareness in an attempt to end the disease of AIDS that has now officially reached pandemic proportions.
Co-produced by the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the LA Gay & Lesbian Center, the two…

"No Bikes Allowed"
I would bet that anyone who rides BMX can tell you they've had this problem from time to time.
Finding a place to ride that's worthwhile is a problem most cyclists share, whether it's road, mountain, or whatever. Sure, you might get away with riding some where for a while, but there's…

Planet of the Apes
Courtney and I rode from San Francisco to San Diego on Monday. We plan on doing another ride today, details to follow. It was a great day to ride. We more or less doddled the first 50 or so miles, but then we realized we had to make it another 30 or so in 2 hours before the sun went down, so we pushed the pace. The first part of the ride was more interesting, my man Volker told us of a way around Devil's Slide, which I was glad to take. He lovingly referred to it as the "Planet of the…
