Event Description

A 24 mile race to see what it feels like to bike the distance Felix fell.

And for those who would like a more liesurely activity, there will be a 10 mile ride afterwards.

The course is around Accotink Lake and Fairfax Cross County Trail.. The race can be done on any bike, from road to mountain, hybrid, or single speed.

There's also a 10 mile fun ride, with tunes provided via The Pedal Collective sound wagon.

20% of sponsorship and entry donations will be given to Gearin' Up Bikes.

Prizes for those who place is pending sponsorship.

Raffle Tickets will be drawn for each 10 mile ride participant. Those who race will not receive two tickets. Prizes are also pending sponsorship.

The race and ride is limited to 100 participants, be the first to sign up to win.

You're all cordially invited to Hard Times Springfield afterwards, where we'll have the whole upstairs to ourselves, free pool/shuffleboard, specials, and possibly a nacho bar. Get excited.

I'm very excited to see you all on Sunday! Just a few last minute details:

If you've already registered, all you need to do is show up and check in.

If you've yet to register, and you'd like to do so at the event, credit and cash is accepted, no checks. You'll need to fill out a form and sign a waiver.

The race begins at about 11 a.m., so be ready.

BE COURTEOUS TO OTHER PARK USERS. We have to be respectful of them, as this is not a course closed for pedestrians.

That being said, get excited! This thing is going to be awesome!
